Zelensky: We are grateful to France for its support, our priority is air defense systems
Kyiv, October 12 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, they discussed Ukraine’s key needs and Russia’s increasing attacks.
In a post on social media, Zelensky said: “I spoke with President Emmanuel Macron. I am grateful to France for its efforts to defend life.” He noted that air defense systems and missiles are among Ukraine’s top priorities.
Zelensky stated that Russia is intensifying its attacks by taking advantage of developments in the Middle East and the busy domestic agendas of other countries. “Russia’s attacks have become more brutal than ever. We are working to counter them,” he said.
He added that Ukraine is cooperating with France to expand the PURL initiative and that diplomatic contacts with other partners will continue in the coming weeks as efforts persist to increase pressure on Russia.
