Fletcher: Visit to Egypt focused on preparations for Gaza
New York, October 12 (Hibya) – The United Nations (UN) Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief, Tom Fletcher, met with Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty in Cairo at the beginning of his visit to Egypt.
Fletcher stated that the meeting addressed the situation in Gaza, noting that preparations for tomorrow’s important peace summit, the scaling up of life-saving emergency assistance, and long-term reconstruction plans were discussed.
He emphasized that the process requires a major effort and comprehensive coordination.
