WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus thanks Germany
Geneva, October 12 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus issued a message of thanks after Germany announced a contribution of 1 billion euros to the Global Fund over the next three years.
Speaking at the opening of the World Health Summit 2025 (WHS 2025), Dr. Ghebreyesus emphasized that the contribution announced by Germany’s Minister for Migration, Refugees and Integration, Reem Alabali Radovan, is of great importance for global health and efforts to save lives.
Ghebreyesus stated, “I appreciate Germany’s leadership in global health and its steadfast support for saving lives. Vielen Dank (thank you very much)!”
