While Russia bombs Kyiv, the US Embassy will remain closed today
Stockholm, November 20 (Hibya) - Overnight, Russia bombed Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, and the US Embassy in Kyiv announced that it would remain closed today.
The US Embassy in Kyiv stated: "The US Embassy in Kyiv has received specific information about the possibility of a significant airstrike on November 20. As a precaution, the embassy will be closed, and employees will be instructed to stay in place. The US Embassy advises American citizens to be ready to take shelter immediately in case of an air raid alarm."
Meanwhile, explosions were heard throughout the night in the capital Kyiv, while air raid sirens sounded all night long.
According to the online map of Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation, the air raid alarm lasted more than two hours in Kyiv and more than ten hours in the Kyiv region.
Kyiv City Military Administration head Sergei Popko wrote on his Telegram channel: "Air defense is working in the capital. Stay in shelters until the air raid alarm ends!"
