Ukrainian President Zelenskiy spoke on the phone with Polish Prime Minister Tusk
Kyiv, November 20 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy held a phone conversation with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Ukrainian President Zelenskiy announced that he spoke with Polish Prime Minister Tusk and thanked the Polish people for their solidarity since the early days of Russia's full-scale invasion.
Zelenskiy expressed his gratitude to Tusk for his principled reaction to Russia's recent attacks and efforts to break political isolation, adding, "We discussed Poland's upcoming 45th support package and work on the next defense aid package."
Zelenskiy shared his hopes for Poland's support during its upcoming EU Council presidency, particularly in advancing Ukraine's EU integration, including opening the first negotiation cluster and making parallel progress with others.
"I expressed my gratitude to Prime Minister Tusk for using his extensive personal connections to advocate for Ukraine's NATO membership and the continuation of defense support. We agreed to intensify our personal interaction and meet before the end of the year," Zelenskiy stated.
