UNRWA: Thousands of trucks waiting to enter Gaza
New York, July 23 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that the agency has thousands of trucks waiting to enter Gaza from neighboring countries.
A statement from UNRWA said that people in Gaza, including agency staff, are fainting due to hunger and severe malnutrition.
The statement added that people, including children, are dying from severe malnutrition:
"People are dying of hunger. UNRWA alone has thousands of trucks waiting to enter Gaza from neighboring countries; Israeli authorities have banned these trucks from entering since March. The blockade must be lifted immediately for our life-saving humanitarian aid to reach."
