Minister Fidan: The ultimate goal in the negotiations is a ceasefire
Istanbul, July 23 (Hibya) – At the Türkiye-Russia-Ukraine Trilateral Meeting, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said, “The ultimate goal is a ceasefire that will pave the way to peace.”
The third round of peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine began at 19:00 at the Çırağan Palace in Istanbul.
The meeting, chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, was attended by National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Director İbrahim Kalın and Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak.
From the Russian side, President Vladimir Putin’s Advisor Vladimir Medinskiy and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin participated; from the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya attended.
Minister Fidan stated, “Our goal is to end the war. The ultimate goal in the negotiations is a ceasefire.”
