UN: Over 1 million displaced in Haiti due to violence
New York, May 22 (Hibya) – The United Nations (UN) announced that over 1 million people in Haiti have been forced to flee their homes due to increasing violence and security crises.
The UN reported that more than 1 million people have been displaced in Haiti as a result of rising violence and security issues. It was also noted that the growing displacement is deepening the hunger crisis in the country.
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) stated that despite all challenges, they continue to operate on the ground: "We continue delivering food to people who have lost everything."
