UNRWA: Gaza hunger crisis cannot be used as a tool of political or military pressure
New York, May 23 (Hibya) – Philippe Lazzarini, a representative of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), told Euronews that in times of crisis, there is a fundamental right and an obligation to deliver humanitarian aid to those in need.
Lazzarini stated that using the hunger crisis in Gaza as a tool for political or military pressure is not a solution. “More than 500 trucks are needed daily to meet basic needs,” he said.
He particularly emphasized the urgent need to deliver significantly more humanitarian aid to Gaza immediately and without interruption.
