Recean: Lithuania was the first country to recognize our independence
Chișinău, May 23 (Hibya) – Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean welcomed Lithuanian Prime Minister Gintaras Paluckas in the capital, Chișinău.
Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean welcomed Lithuanian Prime Minister Gintaras Paluckas in Chișinău. Recean stated that the visit held special significance, saying, “35 years ago, Moldova was the first country to recognize Lithuania’s regained independence.”
Prime Minister Recean emphasized that the friendship between Moldova and Lithuania has withstood the test of time. “We are pleased to see Lithuania as one of Moldova’s strongest supporters on its path to the European Union,” he said.
