Spajic: We aim to strengthen the position of workers
Podgorica, May 23 (Hibya) – Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic announced that the government has made significant progress on a seven-hour workday regulation aimed at mutual satisfaction for both employees and employers.
Spajic stated that starting next week, Minister of Labour Naida Nišić will begin negotiations with union and employer representatives within the framework of social dialogue.
The Prime Minister emphasized that, as with the “Europe Now 1” and “Europe Now 2” programs, this reform is also intended to be implemented with the full support of employers and unions. “Our government will not take any step without the approval of social partners,” he said.
Spajic expressed confidence that Minister Nišić would conclude the process swiftly and by consensus on behalf of the government, adding: “With this reform, we aim to meet our citizens’ expectations and strengthen the position of workers.”
