According to unofficial results, the new President of Northern Cyprus is Tufan Erhürman
Kyrenia, October 19 (Hibya) – According to unofficial results, Tufan Erhürman has become the new President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus went to the polls early in the morning to elect their president.
A total of 777 ballot boxes were set up across the country, with eight candidates listed on the ballot.
According to unofficial results, the candidate of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), Tufan Erhürman, has been elected as the new President of the TRNC.
The Supreme Election Board announced that 753 ballot boxes had been counted, with a voter turnout of 62.83%.
Tufan Erhürman: 62.80% – 84,630 votes
Ersin Tatar: 35.77% – 48,208 votes
