In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office: “Following Hamas’s violation of the ceasefire, Prime Minister Netanyahu held a consultation meeting with the Defense Minister and the heads of the security agencies and instructed strong action against terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip.”

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that Israeli Defense Forces units operating under the ceasefire agreement were attacked.

The statement said: “This is a serious violation of the ceasefire agreement. The IDF has begun striking terrorist infrastructure to eliminate the threat. The ceasefire requires the demilitarization of Gaza. Hamas must go.”
