U.S. Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit Celebrates 84th Anniversary
New York, August 22 (Hibya) - The U.S. Department of Defense celebrated the 84th anniversary of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) community.
The U.S. Department of Defense marked the 84th anniversary of the EOD community. According to the statement, the unit was first established in 1941 with the launch of mine disposal training by the U.S. Navy, and since then has taken part in many dangerous missions.
The statement emphasized that EOD technicians play a vital role in protecting lives and missions by bravely confronting bombs, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other hazardous threats.
