Albares: We cannot accept this humanitarian disaster
Madrid, August 22 (Hibya) - Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, made a statement after the United Nations officially confirmed the famine situation in Gaza City.
Albares stated that the situation in Gaza is a "man-made famine" and emphasized that Spain strongly condemns it.
In his statement, Albares underlined the urgent and comprehensive need to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and called on Israel to fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law.
The Spanish minister also highlighted the importance of the United Nations and humanitarian organizations being able to operate unhindered in Gaza, saying: "We cannot accept that more innocent civilians lose their lives."
