UNRWA: The right to education must always be protected
New York, September 1 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that around 46,000 Palestinian refugee children have started the new school year in UNRWA schools in the West Bank.
In its statement, UNRWA said that around 46,000 Palestinian refugee children had begun the new school year in the agency’s schools in the West Bank.
It stressed that despite displacement, violence, and closures, schools continue to be a safe haven for learning and support. “This school year, and always, the right to education must be protected,” the statement said.
