Tsahkna: We stand with you to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience
Tallinn, October 27 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made statements following a productive meeting with Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko.
Tsahkna stated that Estonia is ready to host the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference, which will be held in Tallinn in 2027, and said they discussed the necessary steps for the sustainable rebuilding of the country.
The meeting also addressed Ukraine’s preparations for the coming winter amid ongoing Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure. Estonia contributed an additional 150,000 euros to the Ukraine Energy Fund, bringing its total support to 620,000 euros.
Minister Tsahkna added that discussions also covered the use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine’s benefit, new EU sanctions, and strengthening cooperation in the defense industry.
