Brussels, April 19 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen commemorated the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
President von der Leyen stated that the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising fought for freedom and dignity despite unimaginable horrors.
She said she held a daffodil in their honor, as people do across Poland, and added: "Their memory compels us to stand firm against all forms of antisemitism and hatred."
