Fletcher: Violence in Sudan must stop
New York, October 30 (Hibya) — United Nations (UN) Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Tom Fletcher stated that violence in Sudan must end, urgent humanitarian access must be ensured, and perpetrators must be held accountable.
UN Coordinator Fletcher drew attention to deadly attacks, new displacements, and worsening hunger.
“Violence in Sudan must stop, urgent humanitarian access must be provided, and those responsible must be held accountable,” Fletcher said. “I am allocating 20 million dollars to provide life-saving food, health care, and protection. I will brief the Security Council this morning.”
