UNRWA: We continue education for 48,000 children in the West Bank
New York, October 30 (Hibya) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that 48,000 children in the occupied West Bank continue their education in UNRWA schools.
The agency stated that, in response to the “Iron Wall” operation, described by Israeli forces as the longest and most destructive in the past 20 years, it launched an adapted education program in February 2025.
UNRWA noted that it continues education through the distribution of self-learning materials, online learning activities, and the temporary use of schools belonging to the Palestinian Authority to ensure that students’ learning is not interrupted.
