Dutch Defense Minister Brekelmans: We are strengthening our air defense within NATO
Amsterdam, October 15 (Hibya) – Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced that air defense capacity against Russia will be strengthened within the NATO framework.
In a social media post, Brekelmans stated: “We are strengthening our air defense against Putin within NATO. More fighter jets, air defense systems, and protection systems against drones will be deployed. Clear rules for the use of these systems will also be established.”
Emphasizing that Russia’s violations must not go unanswered, Brekelmans added: “Violations must have consequences. This can be achieved, for example, through more sanctions and by increasing Ukraine’s strike capabilities.”
