Chinese Foreign Ministry: U.S. airline restrictions will harm people-to-people exchanges
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the restrictions imposed by the United States (U.S.) on the operations of Chinese airlines will harm exchanges between the two peoples and also damage the U.S.’s own interests.
At today’s regular press conference, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian responded to a reporter’s question: “What is China’s position regarding Chinese airlines calling on the Trump administration to drop its plan to ban the use of Russian airspace for U.S.-bound flight routes?”
The spokesperson said, “We have also seen strong opposition within the U.S. public. We support Chinese companies’ efforts to protect their legitimate rights and interests.”
