Canadian Prime Minister Carney announced that they had introduced a bill called the “Building Canada Strong Act.”

Carney said in a statement on his social media account that the legislation would enable projects to be built more quickly in Canada by implementing the most comprehensive and ambitious reforms in a generation.

Stating that high standards do not require slow decision-making, Carney said, “Speed, certainty and predictability are competitive advantages. That is how we will build Canada strong.”

According to statements from the Canadian government, the legislation aims to accelerate federal approval processes for major projects and implement a “one project, one review, one year” approach.
