Finnish President Stubb said he took part with Kenyan President Ruto in an international discussion on the use of artificial intelligence and cooperation among small and medium-sized countries.

Stubb said artificial intelligence can improve people’s lives, advance science and strengthen economies, while noting that the rapid development of AI models creates risks that must be managed together.

“We can choose to compete, cooperate or step back. I hope we choose cooperation,” Stubb said, thanking United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres for his work to reform the United Nations and rebuild trust.

Stubb said this work must continue.
