Zelensky spoke by phone with his South African counterpart
Kyiv, August 23 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Zelensky stated that the call took place at the request of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
He informed his counterpart about the joint diplomatic efforts with partners and the productive talks he had with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington. Zelensky stressed that the war must end and that the massacres and destruction must stop.
Zelensky reiterated his readiness for any kind of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin but noted that Moscow was once again trying to prolong everything. He emphasized that it is important for the Global South to send the necessary signals and steer Russia toward peace.
