WHO: Governments must protect people from high healthcare costs
Geneva, December 12 (Hibya) – The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that governments must invest adequately in Health for All and protect people from high healthcare costs.
The WHO statement noted that healthcare expenses exceeding 10% of household budgets put one in eight people worldwide at risk of poverty.
It emphasized the need for governments to invest adequately in Health for All and protect people, especially the most vulnerable, from high healthcare costs.
