Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Jerusalem; they discussed regional developments, particularly events altering the reality in Syria.

Netanyahu stated that Israel would do everything in its power to protect its security from any threat; for this purpose, he ordered the Israel Defense Forces to temporarily take control of the buffer zone in Syria until an effective force is established to implement the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

The Prime Minister emphasized the vital importance of assisting Syrian minorities and preventing terrorist activities from Syrian territory against Israel.
