Weel: I welcome the new U.S. sanctions package
Amsterdam, October 23 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel welcomed the new U.S. sanctions package that includes tough measures against two major Russian oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil.
Dutch Foreign Minister Weel said he welcomes the new U.S. sanctions package containing strict measures against major Russian oil companies such as Rosneft and Lukoil.
Weel noted that, together with allies, they are increasing pressure to hit Russia’s war economy and stop its aggression. “These sanctions make Russian oil trading more risky and less profitable. In this way, we are gradually weakening Russia’s earning potential. It is also important that the EU takes further steps quickly in this direction,” he said.
