Macron: We Continue to Support Ukraine on the Path to a Just and Lasting Peace
Paris, October 23 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Brussels.
Macron stated that France will continue to support Ukraine in achieving a just and lasting peace, in close cooperation with European partners and the United States.
The French President noted that Russia continues to reject an unconditional and immediate ceasefire, and under these circumstances, it was decided to increase pressure on Moscow.
Macron also welcomed the new sanctions imposed by the United States and the additional measures approved by the European Union.
He concluded his statement by saying, “Achieving peace is now a necessity.”
