U.S. stock markets close higher
Istanbul, August 4 (Hibya) - U.S. markets posted a positive performance during this week's trading session.
All major U.S. indices ended the trading day in positive territory. The strongest gains were seen in the Nasdaq indices, led by technology stocks.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose 1.32 percent to 53,178.41 points. The S&P 500 gained 1.48 percent to 7,600.50 points.
The Nasdaq index climbed 2.13 percent to 25,913.896 points, while the Nasdaq 100 closed up 1.78 percent at 28,776.804 points.
The Russell 2000 index also advanced 1.73 percent to 2,981.908 points.
