In a statement, the ministry said that the document titled "Medical Genocide Studies: Reproductive Genocide as a Public Health Crisis," prepared by UN Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, Tlaleng Mofokeng, is an important study highlighting the gravity of the alleged crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry said it supports the concept of "medical genocide" used in the report and agreed with the assessment that the systematic targeting of hospitals, healthcare facilities, medical personnel and patients, the obstruction of the entry of medicines, medical supplies and fuel, and the disabling of the healthcare system could constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law.

The statement also said the ministry endorses the report's findings that "reproductive genocide" is taking place in Gaza due to the destruction of maternity and maternal health centers and the deprivation of women of healthcare, food, water and medicine.

The ministry called on the international community to translate the report's findings into concrete action, protect hospitals and healthcare workers, secure the release of detained Palestinian medical personnel, ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and medical supplies, and support accountability mechanisms.
