Türk: Funding cuts threaten the human rights system
New York, October 15 (Hibya) – United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said that funding cuts, amid global turmoil, are threatening the human rights system.
Türk noted that, in the midst of global upheaval, funding cuts pose a threat to the human rights system, emphasizing that human rights directly affect the daily lives of people around the world.
He stated that comprehensive financial, political, and strategic support is needed.
