Rubio: We will not allow the UN to tax our citizens and companies
Washington, October 15 (Hibya) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States will not allow the United Nations to tax American citizens and companies.
Rubio said that this week, the UN launched an initiative to introduce the world’s first global carbon tax, which would increase energy, food, and fuel costs worldwide.
He emphasized that the U.S. will not permit the UN to impose taxes on American citizens or businesses, adding that under President Donald Trump’s leadership, America will firmly say “no.”
Rubio added, “We are calling on other nations to stand with the United States in defending our citizens and our sovereignty.”
