According to a statement from Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, who visited Kampala, Uganda’s capital, to attend the Non-Aligned Movement Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, met with his Myanmar counterpart, Than Swe.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on international developments.

Both foreign ministers emphasized the importance of identifying areas of cooperation in various economic and trade sectors between the two countries.

To this end, an agreement was reached to facilitate the exchange of diplomatic and economic delegations between Iran and Myanmar.
