Tsahkna: Russia is using Ukrainian children as weapons
Tallinn, October 17 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna drew attention to the dire situation of children in Ukraine.
Tsahkna opened the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) held at Estonia’s Parliament, the Riigikogu.
In his speech, the minister stated, “Russia is using children as weapons — targeting them, killing them, tearing them away from their families and homes.”
Tsahkna emphasized that thousands of Ukrainian children have been forcibly taken to Russia, where they are subjected to intense propaganda aimed at severing their ties with their homeland.
Calling on the international community, Tsahkna said, “No attack should go unpunished. Russia must be held accountable for all the crimes it has committed.”
