IDF: Attempted arms smuggling on western border thwarted
Jerusalem, October 17 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that an attempt to smuggle weapons across the western border had been foiled.
According to an IDF statement, a weapons smuggling attempt was prevented in the Paran Brigade area.
The statement said that surveillance units detected a drone entering Israeli territory from the west, which was found to be carrying two weapons, magazines, and ammunition.
“Additionally, in the morning hours, two more drones attempting to enter Israeli territory from the west to transport smuggled materials were neutralized by IDF forces. The seized weapons and ammunition were handed over to security forces for examination,” the statement said.
