“The world is changing rapidly. For partners like us, this requires even closer cooperation to face the realities of our time,” said von der Leyen, adding that both sides act based on shared values.
She highlighted the importance of open economies, safe societies, and fair rules, and stated that the EU and Japan will continue working together to shape a world order based on these values.
