Pakistan and Austria aim to strengthen cooperation in education and economy
Islamabad, July 22 (Hibya) – Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with Peter Launsky, the Austrian Chancellor’s Special Envoy for Global Relations, on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).
During the meeting, both sides welcomed the positive trajectory of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Austria. They discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation, particularly in education, tourism, and business. Peter Launsky appreciated the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora to Austria’s economy and social fabric.
The two officials also reviewed close collaboration on multilateral platforms, especially within the United Nations. The Austrian side commended Pakistan’s role as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and its contributions during the presidency period.
