Tajani stated that he is in contact with Cardinal Pizzaballa, who entered Gaza with 500 tons of humanitarian aid for the civilian population.

He noted that the Italian government has called on Israel to halt its military operation and to fully ensure the safety of its two ambassadors carrying out critical missions.

“Israel and Hamas must reach a ceasefire, the war in Gaza must end, and we must stop attacks targeting civilians, release all Israeli hostages, and ensure that essential aid enters the country as soon as possible. We must firmly choose the path of diplomatic negotiation,” said Tajani.
