French President Macron announced that he spoke with Ukrainian President Zelenski.

Macron emphasized that Europe's security, freedom, and future are more closely linked to Ukraine's fate than ever before, and this must be remembered. For this reason, he said he continues to support the Ukrainian people along with his partners.

Macron stated that Russian attacks must stop immediately, saying, "France stands with Ukraine in difficult times and times of hope and will continue to do so."

Zelenski, in a statement regarding the conversation, said, "I am grateful to Emmanuel for his truly strategic vision and readiness to help exactly in the areas our fighters need."

Zelenski noted that they had a detailed discussion on strengthening Ukraine's air defense, particularly missile supplies for SAMP/T systems and funding for preventive drones, and added:

"We will prepare joint decisions with France and other partners at the Defense and Foreign Ministries levels regarding new steps aimed at protecting our people from Russian attacks. I especially want to emphasize our agreement on pilot training for Mirage jets. France is ready to train additional pilots using additional aircraft."
