Tajani expresses support for Salvini
Rome, July 18 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani made a statement regarding the ongoing legal proceedings against former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini in the Open Arms case.
In a post on his social media account, Tajani stated that they have always argued that prosecutors should not appeal acquittal decisions.
“In the specific case of the Open Arms trial, there is a kind of judicial obsession against a Minister of the Republic. Salvini was simply doing his job,” Tajani said.
In his statement of support for Matteo Salvini, Tajani said, “I stand in solidarity with you.”
