German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Europe is confronted with historic difficulties, which can only be overcome through clear prioritization within the multiannual financial framework.
Merz noted that this cannot be achieved by continuously increasing funding, adding, "Germany will contribute constructively and actively to the negotiation process."
