Qatar calls for peaceful resolution of conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo
Doha, January 28 (Hibya) – The State of Qatar announced that it is closely monitoring developments in the Democratic Republic of Congo and called for a peaceful resolution of conflicts.
In a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, deep concern was expressed over the developments in the Democratic Republic of Congo, particularly the recent attacks by protesters on several embassies.
The statement called on all parties to exercise restraint, avoid further escalation, listen to the voice of reason, and resolve disputes through dialogue and peaceful means. It added:
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the importance of ensuring full protection for diplomatic missions and their personnel in accordance with the fundamental principles of international agreements and diplomatic norms. The ministry also reaffirms Qatar’s full support for all regional and international efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the Democratic Republic of Congo.”
