Israeli Foreign Ministry: We will continue to facilitate humanitarian aid
Jerusalem, January 31 (Hibya) - The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced its commitment to continue facilitating humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in accordance with international law and the framework for the release of hostages.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating humanitarian aid to Gaza in compliance with international law and the framework for the release of hostages.
The ministry emphasized that humanitarian aid is not equivalent to UNRWA and called on those wishing to support humanitarian efforts in Gaza to direct their aid to alternative organizations, including other UN agencies, international NGOs, and foreign countries.
The ministry stated that these organizations provide the vast majority of humanitarian aid to Gaza and, unlike UNRWA, are not involved in terrorist activities of the Palestinian Islamic Movement.
In its statement, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said: "It is inconceivable that democratic countries that pride themselves on the rule of law would call on Israel not to implement a law passed by a large majority in the Knesset. We will abide by the law and continue to facilitate humanitarian aid."
