Hanoi, October 25 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Combating Cybercrime, held in Hanoi on October 25, 2025. During the ceremony, Russia’s Prosecutor General Aleksandr Gutsan signed the convention on behalf of the Russian Federation.

The convention, initiated by Russia, is reported to be the world’s first global agreement in the field of information security. Putin described the signing ceremony as “a truly historic event.”
