President Erdoğan and Russian President Putin spoke by phone
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the conversation, the results of the Alaska Summit and bilateral relations, particularly trade ties between Turkey and Russia, were discussed.
President Erdoğan emphasized that they are closely following the developments of the peace process and noted that since the beginning of the war, Turkey has made sincere efforts to achieve a just peace. He expressed support for approaches aimed at establishing a lasting peace with the participation of all parties.
Russian President Putin, for his part, drew attention to the Istanbul Process and thanked President Erdoğan for his efforts and for hosting the peace talks.
At the end of the conversation, the two leaders agreed to continue the dialogue between Turkey and Russia.
