Palestine Welcomes Outcomes of Bogota Conference
Ramallah, July 18 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the State of Palestine welcomed the outcomes of the Hague Group Emergency Ministerial Conference held in Bogota under the joint chairmanship of Colombia and South Africa.
In a statement, the Ministry noted that the State of Palestine welcomed the outcomes of the conference held on July 15–16 in Bogota under the joint chairmanship of Colombia and South Africa.
The statement emphasized that the meeting represented a fundamental step toward re-establishing international law as a binding reference, ending Israeli occupation, and enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights:
“The growing consensus within the global majority, reflected in this meeting, affirms that the will of peoples for freedom and justice can no longer be ignored. The Palestinian issue is now being evaluated not only through the lens of interests, but within the framework of universal values and human dignity.”
The statement added: “The State of Palestine extends its deep gratitude to Colombia for its generous hospitality and leadership and will continue working with its friends and allies to defend shared values and common goals.”
