The Ministry described Macron’s decision as an expression of France’s commitment to international law, the two-state solution, and its determination to resolve the conflict through political means in accordance with relevant UN resolutions, to establish peace in the region.

The statement noted that the Ministry expressed its sincere gratitude to Macron and the French Republic for this historic decision, as confirmed in response to a letter from President Mahmoud Abbas.

"The Ministry also calls on other countries to recognize the State of Palestine and urges the international community to actively support the two-state solution at the upcoming UN conference in New York."
