Pakistani Foreign Minister Dar met with his U.S. counterpart
Islamabad, July 25 (Hibya) – Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Minister Dar expressed his pleasure at meeting Secretary Rubio to comprehensively discuss all aspects of bilateral relations.
He stated that they reaffirmed their commitment to the long-term Pakistan-U.S. partnership with a renewed focus on cooperation in economic, trade, investment, IT/AI, and communication technologies. “We also reaffirmed the importance of close coordination in multilateral forums, including the UN Security Council,” he said.
Rubio commented on the meeting: “Today, I met with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar to discuss expanding bilateral trade and enhancing cooperation in the critical minerals sector. I also thanked him for Pakistan’s partnership in counterterrorism and maintaining regional stability.”
