Pakistan condemns Indian Defense Minister Singh’s remarks on Sindh
Islamabad, 23 November (Hibya) — Pakistan issued a statement condemning Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s comments about Sindh, calling them “dangerous and provocative.”
The Government of Pakistan criticized Singh’s statements about Pakistan’s Sindh province, noting that his remarks reflect “an expansionist Hindutva mindset that questions established facts and violates international law and state sovereignty.”
Pakistan urged Indian leaders to refrain from provocative rhetoric that threatens regional peace and stability. It emphasized that India must focus on ensuring the safety of vulnerable minority communities, and that those who incite or commit violence against these groups must be held accountable. It also called for eliminating faith-based discrimination.
Pakistan further called on India to address the persistent grievances of northeastern communities and resolve the Kashmir issue through realistic and credible steps, in line with UN Security Council resolutions and the expectations of the people living under occupation.
Officials reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the peaceful settlement of disputes based on justice, equality, and international law, and its determination to safeguard the country’s security, independence, and sovereignty.
